Parent FAQ

Quick answers for families getting to know us. No question is too small, so if you don't see yours here, just ask.

We care for children from 6 weeks to 10 years old across eight classrooms: Infant 1, Infant 2, Toddler 1, Toddler 2, Two's, Preschool, Pre-K and School Age. Our School Age program includes before- and after-school care and summer camp.

Both centers are open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. If your child will be absent or will arrive after 9:30 am, please let us know.

Start by scheduling a tour so you can see our classrooms and meet our team. When you're ready to join us, complete the Classroom Registration Form and pay the $50 nonrefundable registration fee. We'll confirm your child's enrollment and start date about six weeks before your desired start date. Then you'll pick up the Enrollment Packet, go over it with us and return it two weeks before your child's first day. Visit How to enroll for a step-by-step guide.

Spots are limited. The quickest way to find out is to send us a message or give us a call with your child's age and your hoped-for start date.

Starting in Toddler 1, Solid Rock provides breakfast, a morning snack and an afternoon snack. Parents pack lunch with an ice pack and label it with their child's first and last name and the date. For a warm meal, heat the food in the morning and send it in a labeled thermos, since we're unable to heat food at the center. In our infant rooms, families provide all food until their child's first birthday.

Please send a labeled lunch and water bottle, nap items when needed, several complete changes of clothes and closed-toe shoes for active play. Infants also need bottles labeled with their first and last name and the date. If your child wears diapers, please send at least one sleeve of diapers and two packages of wipes. We play outside every day, so please dress your child for the weather.

Faith is woven into each day through prayer before meals, Bible stories and songs, memory verses and celebrations of Christian holidays. Our Pre-K classroom also attends chapel each week.

We keep one staff member for every four children in Infant 1, Infant 2, Toddler 1, Toddler 2 and Two's, and one staff member for every eight children in Preschool.

We use the ProCare app to share real-time updates, daily activity reports, photos and messages throughout the day. Billing and absences are handled by email, and family conferences are held twice a year, in November and May.

Your child's safety is our highest priority. We maintain secure classrooms, follow state licensing requirements, conduct regular safety drills and release children only to authorized adults.

Yes! We love helping children feel special on their birthdays. To protect children with food allergies, treats must be store-bought, such as cupcakes, brownies, popsicles, muffins or donuts. Treats are always optional. To find out how many children are in the class, send your child's Lead Teacher a message on ProCare.

Tuition depends on your child's classroom and schedule. Please contact us for current rates.

Tuition is automatically withdrawn the week before care. We accept checking and savings accounts, credit and debit cards, and FSA accounts. Because card payments carry a 2.7% processing fee, we recommend paying from a checking or savings account. Each family may use only one payment method and can't alternate between methods. For billing questions, email Ally at programadmin@solidrockchild.com.

Your child's schedule needs to stay consistent from week to week. You're welcome to add days, but days can't be switched.

Yes. After 90 days of enrollment, children enrolled three, four or five days a week receive three, four or five vacation days.

We're closed on major holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. Because these are paid holidays for our staff, tuition stays the same when we're closed on a day your child normally attends.

Before returning, children must be fever-free for 24 hours and free of vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours, without medication. If your child becomes ill during the day, we'll either message you on ProCare or call for pick-up, depending on your child's age and illness. You'll find more details in the Parent Handbook.
